Most traditional Navajo flutes were made of sunflower stalk in earlier times; today the flutes are evolving into a medium of artistic expression that uses a variety of materials. These cedar drone flutes are tuned to A Minor and are handcrafted by Jonah Thompson. This flute is a sample of Native American instruments and the diversity within Navajo culture.
