Native American-Made Pipestone Four Winds Pipe – Inlaid
This fully functional peace pipe features a bowl carved from pipestone, symbolizing the Four Winds. For Native American people, the Four Winds correspond to the four sacred directions:
North: Signifies life’s hardships and discomforts, akin to the cold winds of winter.
South: Represents the blessings of life, reminiscent of the warm winds of summer and the growing season.
East: Marks the beginning of the day.
West: Denotes the end of the day and the culmination of life.
The wooden stem is adorned with leather and beads, adding to its intricate design. Handcrafted by a Santee Sioux Indian Tribal Member – Two Feathers.
