These beautiful miniature sheaths were created by K’iche’ Maya Indians using Lakota designs. These Native American sheaths were beaded onto soft leather, lined with holster leather, and handstitched. There is a long thong on the sheath so it can be worn as a necklace. The Native American women, specifically the Cherokee, are known to wear these tiny knife necklaces and tuck them in their bras.
